Webinar 1: A Judicial Dialogue between African and Inter-American Regional Courts on the Protection of Civic Space
On Monday, August 10 at 8 am (San José) | 10 am (Washington, DC) | 5pm (Arusha), the Pan African Lawyers Union and Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights will host the first session in a four part series on the protection of civic space through strategic litigation. This webinar engages the African and Inter-American regional human rights courts in direct dialogue. It aims to discuss the importance of collaboration among the regional human rights mechanisms to improve the protection of civic space by sharing important legal, institutional and case law developments, collective strategies to respond to challenges and difficulties, and by identifying opportunities for collaboration and joint action.
