Webinar 3: Sub-regional spotlight - litigating for the protection of civic space
On Monday, August 24 at 8 am (San José) | 10 am (Washington, DC) | 5pm (Arusha), the Pan African Lawyers Union and Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights will host the third session in a four part series on the protection of civic space through strategic litigation. Building on the prior sessions, this webinar will teach participants how to workshop a key civic space case from East Africa for presentation before a human rights mechanism. Guided by an expert, participants will learn how to select the most effective set of facts, the best forum from among the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, or the East African Court of Justice, and explore opportunities for interregional support and advocacy.

This session will be available in English and French.
